Great bivy. Good blend of space & weight. I used it for 2 weeks at 10,000 ft in the Wind Rivers last summer. We had lots of bugs, several rain showers, and one big storm with wind, rain, and hail. This thing was perfect; kept the bugs out, kept me dry. I think it adds about 10 degrees to your sleeping bag rating compared to a tent. You can set it up in the prettiest little spaces; gives you lots more options than a tent.
Remember tho, it's a bivy, not a small tent. Can't sit up, don't plan on reading a book, you can't get dressed in it. It will hold a sleeping bag (make sure you have a right hand zipper if it's a mummy!), pad, your camp shoes, your pants, and a flashlight. Great views of the stars through the netting; easy to zip the flap when it rains. Breathes well. Only drawback is i..
