I had read some mixed reviews on this jacket, but went ahead and sprung for Seagrass-L. Glad I did! I'm 5'9" with a 41" chest (with a slight Buddha belly) and the fit is comfortable with room for an extra layer. This morning, it was in the mid-20's and fairly brisk walking into work, and all I had underneath was an undershirt, short-sleeve casual dress shirt, and waffle-knit long-sleeve, and I kept warm.
The windproof material generates a paper-like sound when you move the sleeves about, which sounds a little funny and detracts, only slightly, from the comfort level, but performs well. A mesh lining makes it easier to slip on/off which gives it an advantage over most fleece 'jackets'. The Retro-X was apparently meant to a real, one-piece-only jacket.
The hand pockets are a little higher..
