A good solid backpacker with thick high-quality leather and a nice finish. Midsole is very cushioning yet supportive. Heel cup is verystiff, and little padding may make it uncomfortable for some (like me). Minimal tongue and ankle padding - old school, needs plenty of breaking in. Wide even in a medium, and high volume - order your size unless you have high volume feet. Liked the boot but had to return it due to fit issues and heel slip. Fits similar to Wasatch but less forgiving. Also fits similar to Asolo TPS. E-omc accepted return no problem, excellent customer service...

I have to thank OMC for the prompt shipping and a great deal on these boots! As for the fit, they are just fine with some expected discomfort due to lack of breakin time, super fit compared to the "too narrow" Northface hiking boots I was wearing. I am 5ft-11inches and 220 lbs, not a small guy and my feet are wide to support all this baloney It's hard to find a reputable boot that will fit a wide foot, most manufactures make them for "thin" people who you can stack in a corner easily, so I am very pleased at the initial fit these boots vasque has made, also the other perk this site forgot to tell you all about is, these boots are also rated for crampons, strap on kind, and I am hitting a few glaciers with these this next sumer on my route following the Pacific Crest Trail in the State of W..
