For a straight-cut skin, order size that is slightly less than the narrow part of the ski's waist
For complete coverage, order skins that are closest in width to the widest part of the ski, and then trim to match
A current trend is to order skins that are closest in width to the widest part of the ski's tail, and cut symmetrically in length. This will leave a bit more of the ski's tip base area exposed, however, the grip is rarely compromised, and when the skin is folded there is less glue exposed to contamination.
