I bought these shoes as an answer to the age old problem of not enough money. I was forced to buy one pair of shoes this season for both hiking and trail racing. I couldn't be happier! These shoes offer amazing stablity weather hiking with a fully loaded ruck or bounding down a rocky trail hill just trying to gain distance on the guy ahead of you. These things are amazing, I just got done running a trail Marathon sunday in some of the worst conditions, loose stone, sand, mud and roots to boot, but the heavy duty lugged soul made sure weather powering up hill or heel striking down hill I was not losing traction. All in all these have been a great buy so far LaSportiva did it right, just be sure to order a full size larger, they run a little small...
