Salewa's Fire Vent is for warm weather, get to-get up-get down mountain performance. Works downtown, too. As cushy as many trail running shoes, and the super breathable mesh uppers keep feet comfortable during a sweaty bushwhack. Climbing shoe features such as sticky rubber, thin forefoot midsole, rubber rands, and lace to the toe foot control could mean you wear them for an entire rock climb and leave your climbing shoes in the rucksack. And use them the next day for a nature hike.
Salewa Fire Vent features: -
Climbing lacing:Adjustment to the personal needs is provided by the extended technical lacing towards the front of the shoe. Precision and comfort are key for a good performance of the athlete.
-
Multi-fit footbed: The truth is, our foot is a three-dimensional body, and is defined by length, width and height. SALEWA offers a footbed that allows an individual adjustment of the fit.
-
3F System Power: the Salewa "Y" heel cradle provides lateral support and heel containment without restriction.
-
Rubber rand at the toe for true climbing performance. Midfoot rand is made with an aramid mesh that is tough but more comfortable and flexible than a rubber rand.
| | Tip: | Fits 1/2 size short. Also note that while lace-to-the-toe climbing shoe designs can adapt to many different width feet, when trying them on for the first time it is necessary to loosen the laces as much as possible all the way down to the toe; re-adjust after your foot is in the shoe. Otherwise, the first impression will be that the boot is too narrow. | |
